Melanie Wehrmacher (Minneaplolis Cast 2011 & 2012).
Melanie’s Twin Cities credits include Red Eye Theatre (Iris, Maria/Stuart), Actors Theater of Minnesota (Fezziwig’s Feast), Theatre Pro Rata (Marisol), Twenty Percent Theatre Company (The Birth of Venus), History Theatre, Playwrights Center, Open Eye Figure Theatre, and Teatro del Pueblo. New York credits include Animal Farm: The Puppet Musical (National Tour), Over the Moon (Eugene O’Neill Theater Center), Manfest Cabaret (New Georges), Twentyone (Spring Theatreworks), and her original solo play Trip (Provincetown Playhouse, winner of the Jig Cook Playwriting Award.) She is also a company member with Science Live at the Science Museum of Minnesota where she can often be found pouring lava, freezing things with liquid nitrogen, or creating theatrical history in her many-layered portrayal of a raindrop.
Nicole Fenstad (Minneapolis Cast 2011 & 2012) As the oldest and only girl in a family of three brothers, she quickly honed her female skills to take charge and boss her siblings around with weekly play practice for the annual Christmas program. Performing was in her blood and she eventually made her way to New York City where she lived and worked for eight years. She is approaching her five year anniversary of transplanting back to the Midwest, where she continues to act on local stages including The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres and the Pantages Theatre. When not performing, she works as a realtor with Edina Realty, sings Christmas songs with a four-girl A cappella group called Chick Cheer (www.chickcheer.com) and is also the founder of a children’s entertainment company called Princess Party Pals (www.princesspartypals.com). She entertains and helps little girls celebrate their inner princess with sparkles, tiaras, feathered boas, cupcakes and, of course, oodles of pink! For my mom, from her one and only girl...
Jen Scott (Minneapolis Cast 2012) Jen works as an actress, improviser and teacher in the Twin Cities - - recent credits include work with the Red Eye Theater, HUGE Theater, Joking Envelope Productions, Actors Theater of Minnesota, Mystery Cafe, and others. She teaches at the Brave New Workshop, Children's Theater, and also works as a performer at the Science Museum of Minnesota. CLAUDIA CARSON (Production Manager) is in charge of managing all aspects of the out-of-state Girls Only productions. Her responsibilities include communicating with the design team, contacting and coordinating with the out-of-state technical personnel and implementing the transport of the set (she has extensive experience working with Canadian Customs.) As Production Manager, Claudia is responsible for all travel and housing arrangements for cast and crew, organizing load-in at the venue, managing the setting up of the set/sound/lights and running dry tech rehearsals prior to cast arrival.
For the last seven of her 30+ in theatre, Claudia been with The Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Until moving up to the position of Production Manager for Girls Only, she stage managed five productions at the Center including The Second City’s productions of Red Scare and How I Lost My Denverginity. Most recently, she stage managed the Girls Only production in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
CHARLES R. MACLEOD (Technical
Consultant) For Denver Center Attractions, past design credits include The Taffetas, My Way, The World Goes ’Round, Swingtime Canteen, The Last Five Years and Always…Patsy Cline. Mr. MacLeod has been the resident Lighting Designer for the Denver Center Theatre Company since 1987. Past DCTC credits include The Diary of Anne Frank, Lydia, The Merry Wives of Windsor, 1001, Season’s Greetings, Gem of the Ocean, All My Sons, After Ashley, Dirty Story, Selfish Sacrifice, Madwoman of Chaillot, Blithe Spirit, Visiting Mr. Green, Lobby Hero, Copenhagen, Behind the Broken Words, Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, A Christmas Carol, Love, Janis, Lost Highway: The Music and Legend of Hank Williams. Mr. MacLeod has also designed the lighting for Theatre Aspen shows Love, Janis, Dinner with Friends and Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time.
